Sun Power Biodiesel is likely to receive more than $1 million in grants for the upgrade of its equipment and infrastructure at its 3MMgy plant in Cumberland, Wisconsin, reported The Biodiesel Magazine.

According to the news source, the funding for the biodiesel project is in the form of a seven-year low-interest loan, which is expected to create approximately 31 jobs over five years of the loan and retain four.

The grant reportedly comprises of $800,000 in American Recovery and Reinvestment Act funds provided to Sun Power Biodiesel through Wisconsin's State Energy Program.

Additionally, Wisconsin will award a $349,825 Community Development Block Grant-Public Facilities for the economic development grant to Cumberland in order to pay for infrastructure investments such as water mains, street construction, electric installation as well as lighting.
