The Bioenergy Association is pleased to see how the use of biodiesel is assisting the tourism industry.

KEA Campers today released information (attached) on how they have been using biodiesel in its fleet of campers to provide its KEA customers with an excellent introduction to the country, further promoting New Zealand's clean and green image.

KEACampers use 100% biodiesel which is made by a New Zealand producer from used vegetable oils which would otherwise go to landfill.

Brian Cox, Executive Officer of the Bioenergy Association said "KEA Campers are to be congratulated for being a sector leader." "We have the opportunity to show tourists that we can live up to our clean green image by having every tourist vehicle using biofuels made from our own natural resources. KEA Camper and tourist operators in Queenstown are demonstrating how easy it is to use biofuels to reinforce their marketing. This shows one of the economic benefits arising from bioenergy."
