Empresa propõe transformar lixo da cidade de Keene em biodiesel

(Notícia em Inglês)
Keene’s city council heard a presentation Thursday night from a representative of Energy Inc, a 2-year-old company that uses patented technology to convert waste products into biodiesel fuel.

The company wants to lease the city’s transfer station and process the trash brought to the station into fuel.

As much as 90 percent of the city’s waste could be recycled in this manner, company representative Bruce O’Hurley told the councilors.

This is separate from a program that the city council approved recently to convert captured methane from the decomposing trash already in the landfill into electricity.
