Indústria de soja dos EUA solicita à UE a revisão do nível de emissões do biodiesel

(Notícia em Inglês)
The American Soybean Association, United Soybean Board, U.S. Soybean Export Council and the associations representing the U.S. grain trade and processing industries formally requested the European Commission to establish an emissions reduction value for U.S. soy biodiesel higher than the level it established for all soy biodiesel in the Renewable Energy Directive.

A letter to Director-General for Energy Philip Lowe states that, based on U.S. data, a greenhouse gas emissions savings value of 58 percent is justified for U.S. soy biodiesel, compared to the default value for all soy biodiesel established by the European Union's (EU) Joint Research Centre (JRC) of only 31 percent.
