Analyst Strategie Grains raised its monthly forecast for this year's rapeseed harvest in the European Union by 200,000 tonnes to 21.8 million as the 28-country bloc benefits from favourable growing weather.
The increased outlook for this year's rapeseed crop was 3.3 percent higher than the estimated 2013 production of 21.1 million tonnes, Strategie Grains said in a monthly oilseed report.
Rapeseed is the most widely grown oilseed crop in the European Union and is used to make edible oil, biodiesel fuel and animal feed.
