ZooWorld’s transportation goes green

ZooWorld is adding a new form of recycling to its repertoire.

Thanks to a donation from a ZooWorld friend, the Panama City Beach nonprofit is now the owner of a truck that runs on recycled vegetable oil.

ZooWorld education director Stephanie Willard-Sinnett said the addition of the truck reflects the facility’s mission to take care of the environment whenever possible.

While most biodiesel trucks use vegetable oil with additives, ZooWorld’s truck is unique in that it can run on regular used vegetable oil, making it more cost-effective and eco-friendly.
